According to a new joint report by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the study shows an increase of 8.4 million child labourers over the past four years. The Child Labour report indicates that progress in ending child labour has stalled for the first time in 20 years. The agriculture sector accounts for 70% of child labour (112 million), followed by the service sector with 20% (31.4 million) and industry with 10% (16.5 million).
